Third Grade

Walli Fitton - - I currently teach 3rd grade at George J. Mitchell School. I earned my degree in Elementary Education from Thomas College and have taught second and third grade for the last four years. The foundation of my work experience comes from a twenty-five year career in business. I was responsible for the constantly changing computer technology, customer service, and human resource needs of an ever- growing family business. In business, I always felt that I was successful only if my staff was successful. I bring the same passion and commitment I had for my business associates to the students I have the privilege of teaching. I reside in Thorndike with my husband, Steven. My son, Jason is a senior at the University of Maine at Orono. My daughter, Stephanie is married and is currently attending graduate school at the East Carolina University.

Patty Gorman - - I attended University of Maine at Farmington and earned a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. I completed my graduate work at the University of Maine at Orono in Education. I have been teaching in Waterville Public Schools for 14 years. I taught second grade for ten years and am now enjoying my fourth year as a third grade teacher. Our son, Jared, graduated from Syracuse University last spring and is now living and working in New York City. My husband and I live in Oakland. When I am not at school, I enjoy scrapbooking, aerobics, yoga, walking, boating, and visiting Jared in New York.

Leslie Lloyd - - I have been teaching for 22 years. I grew up in Waterville and went to the GJM School (although it was called Brookside then). I am married and have two teenage sons who go to school in Waterville. I love nature and being outside in the woods or at the beach. I love to cook and sharing my cooking is my favorite way to show someone that I care about them. I love kids and have known that I would be a teacher since I was 9 years old when I used to make my brother play school with me.

Tiffany Morse - - I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education in 2005 from the University of Maine, Orono. I received my Master's Degree is Special Education in 2009 from the University of Phoenix Online. I started working at the Albert S. Hall School in 2005 as an educational technician. I taught reading, writing, and math in the special education resource room setting for 9 years. In 2015 I started teaching 3rd grade.

Elizabeth Ridgeway - - I love learning just as much as I love teaching. I received my Bachelor of Arts from St. Lawrence University 2004, a Master of Public Policy in Public Finance from USM in 2006, Master of Science in Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum from Drexel University in 2013, and Graduate Certificate in Language Acquisition from University of Alaska Anchorage in 2015. I grew up in Maine, and I have taught all over the country, from Virginia, to Alaska, to Louisiana and now back to Maine to raise my kids, Jack and Reagan. I love technology, music, and being outdoors.

Jacob Sears - - I earned my Bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Farmington in 2012. I majored in special education with a minor in psychology.
