Amanda Clark -

Andrea Gray - Social Worker - - I grew up in Waldo County and graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development with a concentration in Child Development and Family Relations. I began teaching kindergarten in inner city Wilmington, Delaware after graduating. When my husband and I married and returned to Maine to raise our family I decided to pursue social work. I eventually completed my Masters in Social Work at the University of Southern Maine and have been a clinical social worker for some time. I have continued to work extensively with children of all ages and their families partnering closely with schools in each of my positions. I have worked in residential treatment programs as well as community based mental health agencies. Most recently I was a program manager with Acadia Healthcare expanding mental health services in Mid Coast Maine and Clinical Director of Harbor Family Services overseeing community and school mental health programs in Knox and Waldo Counties including 13 different schools. I utilize a strengths based approach and my modes of treatment include evidence based treatment including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, and Mindfulness. I share my time with AOS 92 between George J. Mitchell School and Vassalboro Community School.
